Makhenkesi Arnold Stofile

Makhenkesi Arnold Stofile (born December 27, 1944 in Adelaide , South Africa ; † August 15, 2016 ) was an ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Berlin .

Life

Makhenkesi Arnold Stofile studied theology . He then was a lecturer at Fort Hare University until 1987 . From 1994 to 1997 he was parliamentary group leader and finance director of the African National Congress . From 1997 to 2004 he was Prime Minister of the Eastern Cape Province . In 2010 he was Minister of Sport of South Africa. From 2011 until his death he was the South African ambassador in Berlin .
