Macropenis

Macropenis is the medical name for an anatomically unusually large penis .

The opposite is known as a micropenis .

Synonyms : macrophallia; Macrophallus; Megalopenis; Megalophallus

A penis length of 2.5 standard deviations above the age-related mean is considered unusually large in newborns .

root cause

This is based mostly an abnormally elevated plasma levels of testosterone , but can also as an isolated anomaly occur.

The clinical feature is an abnormally large penis, either during or shortly after birth, always before puberty .
