Maksims Sinčukovs (born June 26, 1998 ) is a Latvian hurdler who specializes in the 400-meter distance .

Athletic career

Maksims Sinčukovs gained his first international experience in 2013 when he retired from the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Utrecht with 57.22 seconds in the first round. In 2015 he reached the semi-finals of the Youth World Championships in Cali and was eliminated there with 52.63 s. He was also eliminated from the 2016 U20 World Athletics Championships with 51.89 seconds and did not make it to the final with the Latvian 4 x 400 meter relay with 3: 10.85 minutes. the following year he finished fifth in the U20 European Championships in Grosseto in 50.98 s and also with the relay he was fifth in 3: 11.62 min. In 2018 he qualified for the European Championships in Berlin and made it to the semi-finals there, where he was eliminated with 50.33 seconds. The following year he came in at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 50.04 s to fifth place.

In 2017 and 2019 Sinčukovs was Latvian champion in the 400-meter hurdles and in 2019 in the 4-by-400-meter relay.
