Malësor Prënkoçaj (born July 17, 1977 in Titograd , Yugoslavia ) is an Albanian singer from Montenegro . His stage name is Malësori , which means highlander .

Career

Malësor Prënkoçaj was born and raised in Titograd. His parents had previously moved from Triesh ( Malësia e Madhe ) to Titograd. There he attended elementary school and high school. He graduated from the University of Prishtina in the fields of English language and English literature.

His interest in music began in childhood when he began to learn to play Çifteli while singing. Prenkoçaj became a member of a cultural association called Besa , where he was a singer and Çifteli player.

In 1997 he recorded his first song "Qaj", which was written and composed by Nikollë Nikprelaj . His first album was released in 1998 .

Today he lives in Prishtina .
