Football section

Malchower SV was created in 1950 from a merger of BSG Tufama and SG Malchow under the name BSG Progress Malchow . The company sports community , which was rather unknown in GDR football, played no sporting role in higher-class football, but completed 10 seasons in the then fourth-rate district league Neubrandenburg in the 1950s and 1960s . From 1967 to 1985 they always played below the then third-rate district league. It was not until 1990 that you could assert yourself again in the district league for the first time.

In 1990 the club was renamed Malchower SV 90 and was incorporated into the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League . With the exception of the 1995/96 season, the MSV was always in the top division of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, in which the runner-up championship was brought in in 2006 and 2007 behind FC Schönberg 95 and Greifswalder SV 04 . In 2009, the runner-up that was won again was enough for promotion to the Oberliga Nordost , as the Mecklenburg champions FC Schönberg 95 waived promotion to the Oberliga. The 2012/13 season ended in 10th place in the table. After the club was temporarily defeated in the 2013/14 season, it hired a new coach with Christopher Stoll and strengthened itself with numerous newcomers during the winter break. So the league succeeded. In 2019, the Malchower were relegated to the association league.
