Malcolm John Pyrah (born August 26, 1941 in Nottingham ) is a former British show jumper .

Career

Pyrah achieved medal ranks in four world championships. In 1978 he won the individual with Law Court in Aachen. In Dublin in 1982 he won silver with Anglezarke in singles and bronze with the British team. Again with Anglezarke, he won silver in 1986 with the team in Aachen.

He was also successful several times with Anglezarke at European championships. With the British team he won the gold medal at Anglezarke in 1979 and the individual silver medal in 1981. Together with the British team, he won the silver medal in 1983. In 1985 and 1987 he won gold medals in show jumping twice with the British team.

In 1981 he won the Grand Prix of Aachen . In 1982 he won the Spruce Meadows Grand Prix . In 1988 he took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul .

Private

Pyrah is married and has one daughter.
