Malte Thorsten (born May 10, 1951 in Wiesbaden ) is a former German actor , whose real name is Wolfgang Schumacher .

life and career

Malte Thorsten became famous in 1971 with the Simmel film, Love is Just a Word , directed by Alfred Vohrer . For this he was awarded the Film Band in Gold at the German Film Prize in 1972 as the best young actor. This was followed in 1972 with The Stuff of which Dreams Are Another Simmel film, also directed by Vohrer. This was followed by And the Rain Blurs Every Trace (1972) and Crime After School (1975). In the television crime series Derrick he played the role of Werner Schranz in the episode One Night in October in 1977 . In the same year he also starred in the film Death or Freedom and had a guest appearance on the French TV series Richelieu . Directed by Karsten Wichniarz, he starred in the 1986 film production company Blue Moon .

In 1977 he played as a guest at the Schauspielhaus Bochum in Strindberg's Fräulein Julie . From then on he was seen in other guest roles at various theaters.

Malte Thorsten has been living in seclusion in Berlin for many years.
