Maluns or Erdäpfelwirler is a classic potato dish from the original rural cuisine of Graubünden and Tyrol .

preparation

Maluns consists of grated potatoes cooked the day before and slowly roasted in butter mixed with flour . This dish does not correspond to the hash brown , it is more like a kind of potato ribel . Depending on the variant, Maluns can be eaten with applesauce , alpine cheese or milk coffee .
