Mama Talk to Your Daughter is a  blues song released by JB Lenoir in 1954 ( Parrot 809). The song has now become a blues standard that has been included in their repertoire by many artists.

General

In addition to the recordings for Parrots, he also recorded for Chess Records in the 1950s . The label of the Parrot single says "JB Lenore" as the singer and author. On the B-side, Man Watch Your Woman was published.

In the song, the singer asks the mother of a woman to speak to her daughter because he has fallen in love with her ("She done made me love her and I ain't gonna leave her be"). The song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard R&B chart.
