Mamady Sidibe (born December 18, 1979 in Bamako ) is a Malian football player . The striker has been under contract with Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia since 2013 .
Sidibe moved in August 2001 from the French capital club CA Paris to Swansea City in the Football League Second Division . At the end of the season Swansea was on a relegation zone and Sidibe moved to the second division Gillingham FC . In three years, the attacker came to 106 appearances for the club and scored ten goals. When Gillingham had to relegate from the Football League Championship at the end of the 2004/05 season , he moved to league rivals Stoke City . Sidibe is also set by storm at the Potters and reached the runner-up in 2008 and the associated promotion to the Premier League .
For the national team of Mali Sidibe made his debut in October 2002 in a qualifier for the 2004 African Cup of Nations , in which he also contributed a goal to the 3-0 victory over the Seychelles. At the finals in Tunisia in 2004 and in Ghana in 2008 , the attacker was part of Mali's squad. In October 2007 he was attacked by a spectator with a knife during a qualifying game against the Togo team during fanfare and seriously injured in the arm, which meant that he was out for a month.
