The Management Review Quarterly (MRQ) is a scientific journal in business administration . Until 2013 it was published under the title Journal für Betriebswirtschaft (JfB) .
The magazine was founded in 1951 at what was then the University of World Trade in Vienna under the title Der Österreichische Betriebswirt and was published by Heinrich Stremitzer for several decades . The name was changed to Journal für Betriebswirtschaft in 1974. In 2005 it was fundamentally repositioned and since then has mainly published overview articles (“ State of the Art ”) on international business research. This also includes quantitative meta-analyzes . Replication studies have also been in focus since 2018.
The editors-in-chief of the magazine have been Joern Block (Editor-in-Chief) and Christian Fisch (Managing Editor) from the University of Trier since 2018. You will be supported by an editorial team of 20 people.

The magazine ranking VHB-JOURQUAL (2008) places MRQ / JfB in category C ; in the ABWL sub-ranking, it ranks 39th. In the ranking of 2011, the JfB was also in Category C classed. MRQ was also classified in category C in the 2015 ranking .
