Manendragarh is a city in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh .

The city is part of the Koriya district . Manendragarh has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 21 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had 33,071 inhabitants, of which 17,119 were men and 15,952 were women . The literacy rate in 2011 was 86.7%, above the national average. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of around 77%. Muslims form a minority with a share of around 16%.

Coal mining is in progress in the Manendragarh area. Manendragarh was still settled by tribal people about 100 years ago. Later the city was developed by the British for coal mining. Roads and railways were also built in the British era.
