Manfred Ayasse

Manfred Ayasse (born November 29, 1958 in Essingen (Württemberg) ) is a German zoologist and ecologist. He mainly works on the chemical ecology of insects, especially hymenoptera .

Life

Ayasse grew up in Essingen in the Ostalb district and attended the advanced high school in Schwäbisch Gmünd from 1972 to 1978 . After completing his military service in Ellwangen , Ayasse studied biology at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen from 1979 to 1987 . He completed his dissertation under Wolf Engels in 1991 in Tübingen. Ayasse is currently a professor at the Institute for Evolutionary Ecology and Nature Conservation Genomics at Ulm University .
