Manfred Eichhorn (* 1961 in Heide ) is a German painter and graphic artist.

After school, Manfred Eichhorn began studying with Bernd Koberling at the HfBK in Hamburg . He graduated with a diploma in fine arts. Afterwards Eichhorn worked as a freelancer and exhibited his pictures in numerous individual and group works. Eichhorn lives and works in Hamburg.

Manfred Eichhorn's bizarre structures are in motion. You stand on the boundary between nature and architecture, somewhere between bionic buildings and sea creatures that mysteriously glow in the dark of the deep sea. The transitory forms are moved in two senses: on the one hand, like medusas, they wander through contractions from one point to another, on the other hand they change from one shape to the next through deformation.

Rhythmic repetitions are also part of his repertoire. Stereotypical brushstrokes and blobs of paint with different colors and consistencies of the paint masses create structures that are reminiscent of living beings that appear in the form of swarms in certain constellations. This artistic modality can also be seen in the drawings on the right next to the video stills. Formations that also appear when cranes or geese fly, swarms that form metabodies. A sequence of images in which three different circular shapes are set in relation to one another on a dark background gives an idea of ​​the more clearly defined forms that can develop from this.
