Manfred Fischer (pastor, 1933)
Manfred Fischer (born March 12, 1933 in Königsberg ; † March 8, 2010 in Stuttgart ) was a German Protestant pastor of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg and managing director of the Evangelical Academy Bad Boll as well as co-founder and first managing director of the Open Church (Württemberg) .
Life
Fischer studied Protestant theology at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, among others, and was particularly influenced by Ernst Käsemann . From 1959 to 1962 he worked as a regional youth vicar, then between 1962 and 1967 as a pastor for student work and international Christian youth exchanges. From 1967 to 1980 he was a parish and student pastor in Stuttgart-Hohenheim / Steckfeld . From 1980 to 1996 Fischer was director and later managing director of the Evangelical Academy Bad Boll.
In 1972 Fischer was a co-founder of the Open Church and served as its first manager until 1980.
