Manfred Hammes

Manfred Hammes (born March 19, 1950 in Trier ) is a German journalist, writer and filmmaker with a focus on cultural and literary history.

Life

After studying law in Cologne and completing an internship in Heidelberg, Manfred Hammes worked as an editor and lecturer for a legal and technical publisher. Afterwards he was the publishing manager of a daily newspaper publisher in Central Baden, before he set up one of the big German corporate publishing houses as managing director . From 2005 to 2016 Hammes was managing director of the "Wirtschaftsregion Offenburg / Ortenau" (WRO). The WRO coordinates public relations and location marketing for the Ortenaukreis and another 50 cities and communities.
