Manfred Heise

Manfred Heise (born November 16, 1940 in Treffurt , Thuringia ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After eight years of elementary school , Heise trained as a car mechanic and attended a preparatory course. He studied at the engineering school in Zwickau with a degree as a motor vehicle engineer specializing in maintenance. From 1964 to 1966 he worked as a production engineer at Ing.Maier-Rehm KG in Eisenach and until 1972 as its production and technical manager. He then became deputy operations manager and in 1975 operations manager. He held these functions until 1989. In 1990 he left the company in order to be able to devote himself to his parliamentary mandate. After leaving federal politics, Heise took over the management of a law firm in Eisenach.

Manfred Heise is married and has one son.

In 1964, Heise joined the GDR CDU . From 1982 to 1993 he was district chairman of the CDU in Eisenach, on March 18, 1990 he became a member of the People's Chamber . This mandate ended on October 2nd, and one day later he became a member of the German Bundestag , of which he was a member until 2002.

Heise was a representative of the Bundestag constituency 297 (Eisenach-Mühlhausen) in the Bundestag, for his parliamentary group he was a full member of the Transport and Petitions Committee. Heise was involved in the harmonization of European regulations on traffic law and building standards; for example, he took care of the implementation of handicapped accessible access in train station renovation projects. In Thuringia, he was involved in the development of the transport infrastructure.
