Manfred Mixner

Manfred Mixner (* 1947 in Graz ) is an Austrian writer living in southern Sweden and a former culture editor and radio editor specializing in literature and media studies.

Life

In 1970/71 Manfred Mixner was the cultural editor of the Graz daily newspaper Neue Zeit and in 1972 he worked at the Graz Schauspielhaus . From 1973 to 1979 he worked as a freelance journalist and from 1979 to 1983 he was department head for literature and radio drama at ORF Graz. From 1984 to 1986 he was department head of Austria 1 radio literature in Vienna and then from 1987 to 2002 he was head of the radio play and radio art department at Sender Freies Berlin . He also taught in Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Berlin and Jena.

Retired in 2002, he writes essays , short stories and novels . Since 2012 he has published his literary works in Edition Keiper .
