Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to ( Japanese. マ ン ガ 家 さ ん と ア シ ス タ ン ト さ ん と , German about "the comic artist and his assistants") is a manga series by Hiroyuki , which appeared from 2008 to 2012 in Japan. It belongs to the comedy genre and was adapted as an anime television series in 2014 .

content

The 22-year-old mangaka Yūki Aito ( 愛徒 勇 気 ) is surrounded by pretty young assistants who have to endure his perverse ideas again and again. They are supposed to be his model as a reference for his underwear-fixed Etchi manga series. Then there is his editor Mihari Otosuna ( 音 砂 み は り ), who has to urge the draftsman to finish on time and is not spared from his antics.

Manga

The manga series appeared from February 1, 2008 to September 21, 2012 in the magazines Young Gangan , Shōnen Gangan and Gangan Online published by Square Enix . From August 2, 2013 to June 6, 2014, the sequel Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to 2 appeared in the same magazine. The chapters of the first series were also published in ten anthologies, the sequels were collected in one volume. The volumes sold around 30,000 times each. Tong Li licensed the series for the Taiwanese market.

radio play

A radio play CD on the manga was released in Japan on January 26, 2011.

Anime

A 12-part anime television series based on the manga was created at Studio Zexcs under the direction of Takeshi Furuta . The series concept and script came from Aki Itami . The character design was created by Hitomi Tsuruta and the artistic direction was with Kenichi Tajiri . The twelve-minute episodes were shown by Tokyo MX and AT-X from April 8 to June 24, 2014 after midnight (and thus on the previous television day). On the Crunchyroll platform , the episodes have been offered via streaming with subtitles in several languages, including German, since they were first broadcast in Japan .

From June through November, the series' episodes were released on DVD, along with six new episodes produced by the same team.

The music in the series was composed by Tomoki Kikuya . The song Junsui na Fujunbutsu ( 純 粋 な フ ジ ュ ン ブ ツ ) by StylipS was used for the opening credits , the two credits were underlaid with Spica. by StylipS and in the last episode Owarinaki Pantsu by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka .
