The Mangayat (also called Mangaya and Buga ) is a critically endangered Ubangic language of South Sudan . The endonym of the language is bug . The language is spoken by the Mangaya (Bug) people.
Mangayat is spoken by only about 400 inhabitants of South Sudan in the Vilayet Western Bahr el Ghazal, southeast of Raja .
Most of the speakers have now adopted the South Sudanese official language, English or Arabic , the official language under Sudanese rule.
