Shortage instrument

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
oboe

A musical instrument that comparatively few people learn to play is called a shortage instrument . As a result, there is a lack of players in these instruments in music schools , orchestras or other musical ensembles and the instrumentalists are therefore in great demand. Typical inadequate instruments include, for example, the oboe , the bassoon , the horn , the double bass , the harp and the tuba .

advancement

In order to encourage more people to learn how to play a deficiency instrument, various types of financial support are sometimes offered. There are, for example, music schools in which the courses for inadequate instruments are offered more cheaply than those for the “common” instruments such as violin or flute . Such grants are also partially funded by organizations such as Rotary International . Music associations such as the North Bavarian Music Association also offer financial support, for example when buying special instruments for shortages. These grants can be aimed at music schools as well as at private individuals. In addition, there may be funding programs at the state level that support training on shortage instruments.
