Mangole is an island of the Sula group within the Moluccas .

Mangole lies east of Taliabu , from which it is separated by the Capalulu Strait ; south of the island is across the Strait of Mangole lies Sanana . The coastline of Mangoles is about 295 km long, the area of ​​the island is 1,228.5 km². The main town of the island is Auphonia in the southwest. Mangole is mountainous and largely forested.

history
