Manja Benak (born February 7, 1989 in Miren , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian football player on the position of midfielder .
Life
Benak was born in Miren in the Miren-Kostanjevica region and attended Gimnazija Šiška in her youth . This was followed by a degree in mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics in Fiziko at the University of Ljubljana .

Benak started her career in the youth of her home club MND Miren-Kostanjevica . After going through all the youth team at Miren-Kostanjevica, she moved to ŽNK Senozeti in summer 2004 . After a year she left Senozeti again and switched to master ŽNK Krka . In Krka, she developed into a top performer and played 114 games in seven years and scored 87 goals before moving to ŽNK Pomurje Beltinci in summer 2012 . The defensive midfielder only came to ten season appearances due to persistent injuries, which is why she moved to Ferencváros Budapest after only one season in Hungary . In 2015 she switched to the LUV Graz Damen , where she played nine championship games in the highest Austrian women's soccer league in the first half of the season. In spring she returned to her homeland and signed with the then first division club ŽNK Olimpija , where she is still active today (as of April 2018), but now plays in the second division.
National team
Since 2007 Benak has appeared for the Slovenian national soccer team .
