Manniac is a German animator and comedian who operates a German-language video channel on YouTube with around 270,000 subscribers.

Childhood and youth

During his school days at Klettgau-Gymnasium Tiengen , Manniac was editor of the school newspaper Phoenix and in 1998 he set up his school's first website.

ManniacMind YouTube channel

Manniac creates cartoon animations and so-called whiteboard animations, such as the explanatory video Surveillance State - What is it? Published on July 28, 2013 . , which attracted attention in online media and television reports.

Manniac also explains other complex issues, such as the procedure for the 2013 general election and the discrimination against homosexuals in Russia.

He achieved further fame with videos of his cartoon characters rabbit and carp (5.2 million views in October 2015), his animated life story Draw My Life and his short documentary 1 year Australia . Manniac regularly published vlogs on his Manniacs Life (originally iManniac) channel. Since 2014 and 2016, Manniac has largely stopped publishing videos on its Manniacs Life and ManniacMind YouTube channels .

Manniac was a presenter for the film community Moviepilot and, together with Oliver Lysiak, has been producing the weekly formats "SCREEEN" and "Tatsflut" since 2012, with an average of 50,000 views per episode (in 2014). On November 12, 2016, the last episode "Flood of Facts" was uploaded because Manniac left Moviepilot together with Oliver Lysiak (Der Batz). They are currently continuing the flood of facts on their new channel "FLIPPS" under the name "Too many facts", as is "SCREEEN" under the name "FLIPPS News".
