Manoel Morais Amorim or Morais for short (born July 17, 1984 in Maceió , Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player .
The midfielder began his career at CR Vasco da Gama , where he played his first championship game in 2002 at the age of 18. In 2004 he moved to Athletico Paranaense for one season , but returned to Vasco in 2005, where he acts as a playmaker in midfield.
In August 2006 he was called up to the Brazilian team for the first time by national coach Carlos Dunga .
