Manolis Kefalogiannis
Emmanouil “Manolis” Kefalogiannis ( Greek Εμμανουήλ “Μανώλης” Κεφαλογιάννης , born May 24, 1959 in Heraklion ) is a Greek politician of the conservative Nea Dimokratia and former minister.
Life
Kefalogiannis was a member of the Greek Parliament for the New Democracy from 1990 to 2014 . In the first cabinet of Kostas Karamanlis he was Minister for the Merchant Navy from 2004 to 2007. He has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . There he chairs the delegation in the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee and is a member of the Conference of Delegation Chairs, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Subcommittee on Security and Defense.
