The manroland Goss web systems GmbH is a manufacturer of web offset presses based in Augsburg . Established in 2018 through the merger of manroland web systems and Goss International , the company employs around 1000 people and achieved sales of 293 million euros in the same year. The shareholders in the company are the Possehl Group (51%) and American Industrial Partners (49%).
Companies
In 2018 manroland web systems merged with the US web offset manufacturer Goss International and formed the new brand “manroland Goss”. The former Goss subsidiary Contiweb was not part of the merger and will act as an independent company after the merger. In addition, manroland Goss web systems acquired the full IP rights from Harland Simon and the Dutch company GWS Printing Systems.
After the merger in 2018, the number of employees at manroland Goss web systems was over 1000 worldwide, 650 of them at the Augsburg site. Sales of 293 million euros were achieved for the 2018 financial year. The turnover of manroland Goss web systems was therefore significantly lower than the combined turnover of the two predecessor companies, which in 2016 was 414 million euros.
Products and services
In addition to various printing press solutions for newspaper, commercial and packaging printing as well as digital finishing, the company also offers services such as upgrades & retrofits, TeleSupport, machine relocations, repairs and spare parts offline and online via the MARKET-X platform.
