The Eurocement group ( spelling : EUROCEMENT ) is the largest supplier of cement, ready-mixed concrete and aggregates in Russia . It has 16 cement plants in Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan as well as several concrete mixing plants, concrete goods factories and aggregate mining areas. The Group's annual production capacity is 40 million tons of cement and 10 million cubic meters of concrete. The planned expansion of the capacities of the reserves explored in the carbonate rock amounts to 2.8 billion tons, the reserves explored in the granite to 1.8 billion tons.

history

The Eurocement Group was founded in 2002 through the merger of Rosuglesbit and Shtern-cement. The company originally had four plants: Maltsovsky Portlandcement, Mikhailovcement, Lipetskcement and Savinsky cement. Since 2005, however, the Eurocement Group has become a leading company in the Russian cement market after purchasing seven more cement plants.

In May 2014, the company signed a package of contracts with Chinese companies for equipment supplies, engineering, installation supervision and employee training for a total of $ 530.7 million. The contractually agreed deliveries include mechanical equipment, ovens, cyclone heat exchangers (for powdery material), crushers and mills. On the basis of these contracts, new plants for the construction of new cement plants with a total capacity of 17 million tons of cement per year were planned in six regions of Russia: in the Oblasts of Leningrad , Ryazan , Bryansk , Arkhangelsk , Ulyanovsk and Samara .

Holding

The Eurocement Group and its subsidiaries in Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan belong to the Holding AG of the same name, which is based in Zurich, Switzerland and has an office in Geneva. The company's capital is around CHF 430 million . The holding company also holds shares in the LafargeHolcim group. Thierry Sauvaire (* 1963) has been CEO of the holding since April 2008.
