The Mansfield Point is a headland on the south coast of Coronation Iceland in Archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It marks the east side of the entrance to Norway Bight .
British Discovery Investigations participants mapped the headland in 1933. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) carried out surveys between 1948 and 1949. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named her on March 31, 1955 after Arthur Walter Mansfield (* 1926), FIDS meteorologist in Grytviken in 1952 and head of the FIDS station on Signy Island the following year .
