Manuel Errazquin

Manuel José Errazquin y Larrañaga (born June 4, 1801 in Montevideo , † August 22, 1867 ibid) was a Uruguayan politician .

Errazquin, son of Pedro José de Errazquin and Juana Larrafiaga, was the oldest of nine children of the Errazquin-Larrañaga couple. He was secretary in the Asamblea Constituyente y Legislativa del Estadio Oriental (1828-1830). Errazquin later sat in the 3rd and 8th legislative periods as a member of the Department of Montevideo in the Cámara de Representantes . He was also a member of the Senate for the Durazno and Tacuarembó departments in the 6th and 9th legislative periods . As part of his parliamentary activities, he succeeded Antonino D. Costas in 1837 and 1838holds the office of President of the Chamber of Deputies. He also held the post of finance minister from 1852 to 1853 under the Girós government .
