Manuel Pérez (politician)

Manuel Pérez (* 1800 in Granada , Nicaragua; † 1845 ibid) was Director Supremo (Head of State) of Nicaragua from May 31, 1843 to September 26, 1844 .

He was a member of the Partido Legitimista . To prevent the Guerra de Malespín , Pérez agreed with Malespín that the Nicaraguan troops would withdraw from Chinandega to Chichigalpa . This concession was not supported by the Parliament in León. Pérez had to hand over his office to Emiliano Madriz .
