Manuel Tena López (born September 8, 1976 in Alcalá de Henares ) is a Spanish football player who plays for Getafe in the Spanish Primera División .
Player career
Manuel Tena comes from the youth of the Spanish top club Real Madrid , for whose first team he only played one game in his career, when he was a regular in the B-Team in the Segunda División in the 1998/99 season and also a few times in the squad of the A-Team. In 1999 he moved to the first division club Real Valladolid , where he only made three appearances in his first season. Therefore, the club decided to loan him to the second division side Córdoba CF for the 2000/2001 season, where he became a regular player straight away.
He then got the opportunity to return to Valladolid in 2001, where he made 20 first division appearances. Nevertheless, he left the club after the season to join the second division FC Getafe with whom he achieved promotion to the Primera División in 2003/2004 . Manuel Tena reached the Copa del Rey final with Getafe in the 2006/2007 season , but failed at the favored Sevilla FC .
