Manuel Torre
Manuel Soto Loreto , also known as Manuel Torre or Manuel Torres (* 5. December 1878 in Jerez de la Frontera , Spain , † 21 July 1933 in Sevilla , Spain) was a Spanish Flamenco - singer from the people of Kale .
Loreto was born near Jerez de la Frontera, in the San Miguel district. Influenced by singers such as Manuel Molina , El Marrurro from Jerez and Enrique el Mellizo from Cádiz , he began his career in the cantantes of Seville . In his time he had a great influence on singers such as B. La Niña de los Peines , Antonio Mairena or Manuel Agujetas . As a versatile singer, he mastered many palos , such as B. Siguiriyas , Soleades , Saetas or Fandangos . However, he rarely entered a recording studio and his recordings are of varying quality.
