Manuel Trappel (born September 16, 1989 ) is a former Austrian golfer who was the first Austrian to win the European Amateur Championship in 2011.

At the age of ten he started playing golf at the GolfPark Bregenzerwald and became Vorarlberg regional champion for the first time in 2005. After further regional successes, he won the Austrian National Championships in 2011 before becoming European Champion in the same year. This title earned Trappel an invitation to the British Open 2012. In December 2011 he was named “Golfer of the Year” by the Austrian Golf Association .

In February 2013 Trappel became a professional golfer and played on the Alps Tour and Challenge Tour . He ended his active career on December 19, 2019.

Trappel lives in Bregenz and studied at the Innsbruck University Business Law .
