Manuela Joest

Manuela Joest (born July 2, 1962 in Essen ) is a German actress .

She is the daughter of the actor and director Hans-Hermann Joest and the actress and soubrette Hilde Plaschke. She grew up mainly in Hanover and Celle . Joest received her first engagement in 1979 at the Landesbühne Hannover. She also appeared on tours and in 1985 at the Ettlingen Castle Festival .

Her theater roles include Selma in Die Ratten , Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream , Hedwig in Die Wildente , Paula in Der Raub der Sabinerinnen , as well as the title role in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn and the role of Celia in As You Like It .

In 1985, Joest played a German landowner's daughter in the TV film Backfischliebe , who met a young Englishman shortly before the outbreak of war in 1939. The actress also became known through the role of Ulrike Wezlenbrink in the RTL series Stadtklinik .
