Manuela Kraller (born August 1, 1981 in Ainring ) is a German singer . She gained fame as the lead singer of the symphonic metal band Xandria , of which she was a member from 2010 to 2013. Your voice is soprano .

Life

Manuela Kraller started taking classical singing lessons relatively late - at the age of 23 - after she sang a classical piece in a choir in Finland while studying education . Her newly discovered enthusiasm for singing was followed by further engagements in gospel and classical choirs as well as in churches, where she also sang as a soloist .

However, since she had a preference for rock and metal music since her youth , she and a friend began to cover and compose corresponding songs, combining them with classical elements. She was inspired by symphonic metal bands. To this day she counts Nightwish , Kamelot and Within Temptation among her personal favorites.

2008 Manuela Kraller singer became the Swiss band Nagor Mar . In the same year she joined the classical metal band Haggard , with whom she gained her first experience on larger concert stages when the band toured Europe and Latin America several times.

On December 20, 2010, Manuela Kraller was introduced as the new singer of the German symphonic metal band Xandria . On the album Neverworld's End , released on February 24, 2012 , Manuela Kraller made her debut with Xandria, followed by joint European tours with the band Epica (twice) and the band Kamelot.

On October 25, 2013 it was announced that Manuela Kraller was leaving Xandria. The reason she gave was to take a “different direction” and to want to go her “own musical path”.

On January 12, 2014, the video for the song Memories Fall by Dark Sarah was released. It is a duet by Manuela Kraller and the Finnish soprano Heidi Parviainen , who started the Dark Sarah project in 2012 .

In autumn 2014 the song At the Edge appeared on the album Crisis Cult by the German symphonic metal band Voices of Destiny, where Manuela Kraller appeared as a guest singer in a duet with Ada Flechtner.
