Manuela Saß (born November 18, 1965 in Wolgast ) is a German lawyer and local politician . She is a member of the CDU and has been the mayor of Werder (Havel) since 2014 .

Manuela sat studied at the University of Leipzig law . In 1996 she completed her second state examination in law. A year later she moved to Werder with her family. Professionally, Saß first worked as a legal advisor at the Deutsche Genossenschaftsbank , then at the State Agency for Structure and Labor and finally as a treasurer in the Beetzsee office. In 2010 she moved to the Werders city ​​administration , where after a short time she became the first alderman and therefore full-time deputy to the mayor Werner Große . In 2012 Werner Große fell ill with lung cancer . As a result, he gave up the office of mayor in 2014. On April 15, 2014, Saß joined the CDU, from which she was nominated as a candidate for the election that was then scheduled. On September 14, 2014 Manuela Saß was elected mayor of the city of Werder with 64.94 percent of the vote.
