María Silva (born August 18, 1997 ) is a Brazilian tennis player .

Career

Silva started playing tennis at the age of five and her preferred playing surface is the clay court. She mainly plays on the ITF Women's Circuit , but has not won a title there.

She played her first tournament on the WTA Tour in February 2016. For the Rio Open 2016 she received a wildcard for qualification . She lost there in the first round to the American Jennifer Brady with 0: 6 and 0: 6.

Silva played her last international tournament so far in March 2018. She is therefore no longer in the world rankings.
