Mara Andeck

Mara Andeck , actually Andrea Mecke , (* 1967 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German writer .

Life

Mara Andeck grew up in a home that was dominated by natural sciences. Her father was the biochemistry professor Dieter Mecke . After graduating from the Uhland-Gymnasium in Tübingen , she studied journalism and biology at the University of Dortmund . She volunteered at Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne and then worked as a radio journalist for Südwestrundfunk and as a lecturer at the University of Tübingen . Today she lives with her husband, two daughters and two dogs in Rottenburg am Neckar . In her books she deals with scientific topics and ideological issues in a humorous way.
