Maradi II is one of the three arrondissements of the city of Maradi in Niger .
The arrondissement is located in the middle of the urban area between Maradi I in the north and Maradi III in the south. Maradi II is divided into four districts : Bagalam, Mokoyo, Sabon Gari and Zaria II.
The administrative unit Maradi II was founded as a municipality ( commune urbaine ) in 2002 , when the city of Maradi was converted into a community of three municipalities ( communauté urbaine ). In 2010, the three arrondissements emerged from the municipalities of Maradis.
At the 2012 census, Maradi II had 66,728 inhabitants who lived in 9167 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 46,318 in 7374 households.
