Marat Natfulowitsch Kalimulin ( Russian Марат Натфулович Калимулин ; born August 20, 1988 in Tolyatti , Russian SFSR ; † September 7, 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl ) was a Russian ice hockey player who played for the HK Lada Tolyatti and Lokomotiv in the continental area during his career Hockey League was under contract.

Career

Marat Kalimulin began his career as a hockey player in the youth division of HK Lada Tolyatti , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the 2005/06 season . The defender scored one goal in eleven games and prepared another. With Lada he won the IIHF Continental Cup in 2006 . In this as in the following season, however, he was used almost exclusively for Lada's second team in the third-class Perwaja League . Since the 2008/09 season , the junior international played for Tolyatti in the newly formed Continental Hockey League . In 2010 he switched to Lokomotive Yaroslavl .

Kalimulin was killed in a plane crash near Yaroslavl on September 7, 2011 .

International

For Russia Kalimulin took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2008 , where he finished third with his team.
