Marat Schachmetow ( Kazakh Марат Шахметов; born February 6, 1989 in Alma-Ata , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh football player .

Career

society

Marat Shachmetov began his active career in 2006 with his hometown club FK Almaty . After the club was dissolved at the end of the 2008 season, it was taken over by the new Lokomotive Astana club. With this club he won the Kazakh Cup in 2010. He was able to repeat this success in 2012.

At the beginning of the 2015 season, he moved to Schetissu Taldyqorghan .

National team

After Marat Schachmetow had already played a few games in the Kazakh U17 and U21, he made his debut in the Kazakh national team on August 10, 2011 in the friendly against Syria. He then went on to further appearances in qualifying for Euro 2012 and World Cup 2014 .
