The Marburg Contributions to Ancient Trade, Economic and Social History , formerly Münstersche Contributions to Ancient Trade History (MBAH) are a specialist journal that has been published annually in two issues since 1982.

The MBAH are dedicated to all aspects of the history of trade in antiquity and their requirements. In terms of time, contributions are published on topics that can range from early Greek times to around the 7th century. But the trade relations of the Greco-Roman culture with other peoples of antiquity are also dealt with. The MBAH is not limited to a certain type of source and thus to a certain sub-area of ancient studies , but are open to all sub-areas and their interdisciplinary use when using literary, papyrological , epigraphic , numismatic and archaeological sources. The first publication of such sources is also planned. In this form, the magazine is doing pioneering work in its field.

Issued Münstersche contributions to ancient trade history first by Hans-Joachim Drexhage , then at the Department of Ancient History at the University of Muenster operate after his move to the University of Marburg , the magazine since 2009 under the new title, another editor appears was Kai Ruffing . The magazine is published by Scripta Mercaturae Verlag in St. Katharinen , which was founded in 1967 and taken over by Harald Winkel in 1977 . In addition to essays, reviews also appear in the MBAH.
