Vladimir Mamonovs (born April 22, 1980 in Riga , Latvian SSR ) is a Latvian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Mogo in the Latvian ice hockey league since February 2016 .
Career
Vladimir Mamonovs began his career as an ice hockey player with Juniors Riga , for which he made his debut in the Latvian ice hockey league in the 1996/97 season . The attacker then played for HK Riga in the East European Hockey League for a year before he was signed by HK Liepājas Metalurgs in the summer of 1998 , for whom he played in the Latvian ice hockey league and EEHL in parallel and in the 1999 season / 2000 became Latvian champion for the first time in his career . Following this success, the left shooter moved to HK Riga 2000 , with whom he again won the Latvian championship in the 2000/01 season. In addition, he and his team were twice runner-up (2001 and 2002) in the EEHL.
In the summer of 2003, Mamonovs returned to his ex-club HK Liepājas Metalurgs, for which he ran parallel in the Latvian ice hockey league and the Belarusian extra league over the following three seasons . For the 2006/07 season, the Latvian signed with the German second division relegated EHC Freiburg , with whom he missed the direct promotion. The national player then left the league team and once again accepted an offer from HK Liepājas Metalurgs, for which he was only on the ice in the 2007/08 season, and in the following season exclusively in the Belarusian extra league, the 2008 was again Latvian champion with Metalurgs. In 2011 he was also Latvian champion with Metalurgs. For the 2011/12 season he was committed by HK Sary-Arka Karaganda from the Kazakh championship . In the middle of the same season he moved within the league to HK Arlan Kökschetau .
At the beginning of the 2012/13 season he played for SMScredit.lv before Mamonovs was obliged by HC Nové Zámky and was active for this in the MOL league . Another year followed in the Kazakh championship at HK Beibarys Atyrau . In summer 2014 he returned to Latvia and played for HK Mogo in the Latvian ice hockey league . He was named Player of the Month in October 2014 and won the Latvian Championship with Mogo at the end of the season. After this success he returned to HC Nové Zámky, who in the meantime played again in the Slovak first division . He left the club again in February 2016 and has played for HK Mogo ever since.
With the HK Mogo he was cup winner in 2017 and 2018 and again Latvian champion in 2019.
