Harald Winkel

Harald Winkel (born May 30, 1931 in Bad Kreuznach ; † August 8, 2005 ) was a German economist , historian and publisher .

Live and act

Harald Winkel studied economics at the University of Mainz and graduated in 1957 with a diploma . In 1960, with a thesis on Carl Brinkmann, he became Dr. rer. pole. doctorate , in 1967 he completed his habilitation and became a private lecturer at the University of Mainz. In 1969 he was appointed as full Professor and Chair for Economic and Social History at the RWTH Aachen . In 1977 he was appointed to the chair for economic and social history with agricultural history at the University of Hohenheim . In 1993 he retired .

In 1977 he took over Scripta Mercaturae Verlag in Stuttgart , which has had its own production and sales office in Sankt Katharinen since 1986 . He was editor of the journal for agricultural history and agricultural sociology , the Scripta Mercaturae and with Ulrich Fellmeth the "Hohenheimer themes, journal for cultural-scientific themes".

Harald Winkel was married to Judith Winkel.
