Francesca Schinzinger

Francesca Schinzinger (born June 16, 1931 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † November 8, 1995 in Aalen ) was a German economic and social historian .

Live and act

Francesca Schinzinger received private tuition in Capri from 1937 to 1940 and then attended schools in Capri (1940 to 1942, grammar school of the Canonici Regulares Lateranensis), in Karlsbad (1943 to 1945, municipal high school for girls), in Eltville on the Rhine (1946 to 1947, Municipal secondary school) and in Wiesbaden (1948 to 1951, secondary school for girls on Schloßplatz). There she passed the Abitur in 1951 . She then studied history , philosophy and economics in Aix-en-Provence , France, Freiburg , Switzerland and Mainz . In 1955 she graduated with a degree in economics . In 1960 it was in Mainz with the work The impact of the reduction in working hours to the employment of women for Dr. rer. pole. PhD . 1968 habilitation they are.

From 1979 until her death in 1995 she was Professor of Economic and Social History at RWTH Aachen University . In preparation for the celebration of her retirement at the end of the summer semester 1996, she asked Friedrich-Wilhelm Henning in the summer of 1995 to give a lecture. After the unexpected death of Francesca Schinzinger on November 8, 1995, the elaboration was under the title Controlling in History. In memory of Francesca Schinzinger, published on the occasion of her 70th birthday on June 16, 2001 in the Vierteljahrschrift für Sozial- und Wirtschaftsgeschichte .

Between 1981 and 1994 she exchanged letters with Jürgen Kuczynski .
