Marburg primary school project

The Marburg primary school project is an educational and educational reform project approved by the Volkswagen Foundation in the early 1970s as an innovation project for curricula in the education system . It is a concretization of the fundamental curriculum revision required by the German Education Council at all educational levels and in all subjects. It was set up in 1972 under the direction of Wolfgang Klafki as the first major German elementary school project and designed as an action research concept.

Klafki supported, promoted and undertook research into the establishment (1986) and development of the "Six-Year Otto Ubbelohde School" in Marburg . This elementary school is still the only one of this type in Hessen.
