Marc Chesney
Marc Chesney (* 1959 ) is an economist .
Life
Chesney studied mathematics at the University of Paris VII ( DEUG 1979, license 1980, maîtrise 1981). He then obtained research-oriented postgraduate degrees ( Diplôme d'études approfondies ) in applied mathematics (1983) and econometrics (1984). In 1986, Chesney also obtained a degree in economics from the University of Geneva . In 1989 he received his doctorate there with distinction in finance . He completed his habilitation at the Sorbonne in 1994 .
Chesney has been teaching as Professor of Quantitative Finance at the University of Zurich since 2003 .
