Barbaros Özsöz (* 1968 ) is a former Turkish handball goalkeeper and handball coach .

Özsöz began playing handball in the youth department of VfL Sindelfingen . In Turkey he played for the first division side Pertevniyal Istanbul . In Germany, Özsöz played for SV Böblingen for six years , later for TSG Oßweil and for TSV Deizisau, with whom he became regional league champion. With the SG H2Ku Herrenberg , for which Özsöz played from 2001, he became champions in the league . From 2004 he played in the regional league for TV Bittenfeld . Then Özsöz played again for VfL Sindelfingen, from where he moved to the HV Stuttgarter Kickers in the league for the 2008/09 season. In the summer of 2009 he left the Kickers. From January 2010 to May 2010 Özsöz played for TSV Altensteig in the Baden-Württemberg League. He then ended his active career, but returned to SV Böblingen from January 2011.

From the 2014/15 season, Özsöz worked as a coach for the 2nd team of SG H2Ku Herrenberg in the regional league , where he was dismissed in December 2015.

Özsöz has a degree in business administration . As managing director, he runs a TUI ReiseCenter in Sindelfingen .
