Marc Foglia (born June 26, 1975 in Orthez ) is a French philosopher .

Life

After graduating from high school, Foglia began the preparatory class at the ENS of the Lycée Henri-IV in Paris. He was accepted at the ENS (born in 1996) and prepared there for the state examination while attending lectures at the Sorbonne. In addition to this course, there were stays abroad at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, at the University of Cambridge and in Leipzig .

From 2000 he taught philosophy at the Paris-I Sorbonne University . In 2005 he defended his doctoral thesis (under the direction of Denis Kambouchner) at the University of Paris-I: La formation du jugement chez Montaigne .

From 2006 to 2007 he worked as "Consultant Speeches and Studies" for Dominique Bussereau , who was Minister of Agriculture at the time. In this role he prepared the minister's speeches and conducted surveys. From 2009 to 2011 he wrote the speeches given at the award ceremony by Gérard Larcher , chairman of the French Senate and MP in Yvelines.

Since 2008 he has been teaching at the Xavier Marmier grammar school in Pontarlier and at the Académie von Besançon as a teacher of philosophy. In 2018, together with Christine Martin, philosophy teacher at the Académie of Versailles, he made it possible for France to be represented for the first time at the International Philosophy Olympiad , an international event founded in 1993.

With the support of the Franche-Comté Region Business Incubator and Bpifrance, he founded the translation agency translat.me in 2014, which specializes in scientific and technical texts.
